I haven’t been prioritizing this blog as much these days. So here goes.
First of all, it’s Monday 9th of June 2025 at 7:45 am. I’m dealing with some dental pain. I have been dealing with this awful pain since 6 pm the previous day. There have been times when there has been pain in the crown area of my teeth, but it wasn’t so awful. It started getting bad when I had soup for lunch at my job on Saturday. That hot soup burned that crown area good. I thought to myself, I’d better contact my dentist. I go to a corporate dental office, but it seems I have no choice but to call the office when it opens at 9 am.
At 6pm, not in the crown region but in my upper lip, it felt like someone was taking a knife and poking my gums too hard. I had a hard time sleeping, and I’m practically operating on 3.5 hours of sleep. So, I’m hoping that I could get a hold of the office and get seen right away so I can move forward without much pain or no pain at all. I’ve had dental emergencies, especially when I was broke and poor back in 2008, and had to self-medicate with whiskey and a cotton ball. The pain went away all by itself after a few days, but that was the worst. I also had gum problems when I was in 3rd to 4th grade, nothing too painful, but I had something I had to address.
As stated in the first paragraph, it deteriorated on Saturday afternoon. But Saturday evening, I went to a Genesis Tribute concert. Before then, I had a Fattoush Salad and a few beers, no pain or anything noticeable. At one point at the concert, there was a small window of discomfort where my crown was, but nothing terrible. Still, I intended to contact the office. Then on Sunday at 6 pm, it just got worse.
Hopefully, things can go well. My job has been ruthless lately, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I later run into a pissy boss while I deal with this emergency. Last week, I did a 14-hour shift, followed by a 13.5 hour shift. I’m needed at my job because the sales of the vehicle I help build are increasing. I’m not going to be saying anything more; it’s just that the pressure is here at the job.
I’m aware of the situation in Los Angeles. I’m not a fan of what Trump is doing. I don’t think my opinions carry much weight. With the Trump and Musk breakup, I knew on day one that Trump and Elon would have a dispute, but I thought it would occur around the 6-month mark. I knew this bromance between the two would not last one full year. It happened sooner than I thought. We are in troubling times, but I don’t think you need me to tell you this.
I’m still working on Caillou Gets Grounded, and if this emergency hadn’t popped up, I would be continuing with it. However, I want to get this dental emergency past me first. Then, with work and life permitting, I’ll get back on that. Next, after my upcoming Caillou Gets Grounded episode, I plan on an episode focusing on Rod Cambridge. Keyword: plan.
I have to admit to everyone seeing this blog and all my fans of my work (not many of yous) that my mental health has been on the fritz in the past couple of months. My mental health quirks (if one likes to call it that) hit hard usually on the Wednesdays of each week. I might be stopping for a moment if things get worse.
