Since my post titled “It’s Been A Long Time,” I have attended five events worth posting on this blog. But the only one I blogged about was seeing Ben Bohmer. I saw Kraftwerk, went to a Tigers game, the final Motor City Rockers game of the 2024-25 season, and attended a protest. I had attempted to make a blog post about the Tigers game, but I just didn’t have the desire to write three or four paragraphs about the game.
This blog post is to tell the few folks who care that things are changing. As I said in the Long Time post, I have been keeping an eye on the political and social climate of the United States, and I’m highly concerned. Minus my loss in the stock market on President Trump’s Liberation Day, many things going on in this country highly concern me, including the lack of Due Process and a whole lot more.
Sadly, I don’t think Congress will stand up to Trump as a whole. We have people who kiss his ass and think he could do no wrong. Down the road, I think a few more Republicans will scream foul. We had Thomas Massie say no to the budget. Rand Paul went to Reason and yelled about the Tariffs. We will likely see a few more switching gears. I doubt it will be MTG, unless she gives Trump a blowjob and he forgets to tell her when.
I attended a protest in Troy, MI, on April 5th. I didn’t have a sign, and I mainly talked to people. One of the things I have to emphasize here is that I’m not a fan of the Democratic Party. So, in future protests, I will wear my Libertarian gear, such as my Jorgensen 2020 shirt. I’d imagine I will encounter some pissy Democrats with me attending these protests wearing that shirt, but I don’t care. I’ve had a couple of interesting exchanges with Democrats that went south, but I saw the same with pre-Trump strict conservatives much more. Plus, I could use more Libertarian friends. Hopefully, I can meet a few more.
Again, I have been watching the Trump administration, and it’s not just Trump I’m angry at. I didn’t like the Biden administration and how he and Trump continued to print money. I was against how much money both Presidents were printing and it came by and bit most of us in the ass when inflation went up. I’m one of the many people whose average salary dropped. I knew something would go wrong when both Biden and Trump kept printing money; I couldn’t pinpoint how it would be a problem. I’m not a fucking psychic. I had a few people scream at me because I didn’t want to buy a house in 2022.
However, Trump’s actions in his first 100 days concern me. Along with the people in his administration kissing his ass. Plus, Signalgate. However, whether you are on the blue team or you hate the blue team, the actions of Trump and his admin are concerning, and we need to take to the streets. I’ll be seeing you there, work and life permitting.
