Wow, it’s been nearly two months, and I haven’t said anything in this blog. This post will be a multi-category deal. I will talk about US Political News, my life in recent times, and what I will be doing in the creative world.
I’m aware of how awful business at the White House has been going. I don’t agree with Trump and Vance on that exchange with Zelenskyy. I also don’t like how fast and inefficient DOGE is. I’m all in on smaller government. We have been spending too much money, and as of this blog post, the national debt is at 36.5 trillion dollars. Yes, we need to trim the federal government to some degree and lower our cash to NATO in the future. But the way DOGE is handling the situation is awful. Especially with the NRC problem and how they quickly reversed it. This also made me mad (the video should automatically go to the part at 3:17):
There is much more I could say about this awful situation, but I’m not the most politically smart person in the world. And barely anybody wants to hear from Libertarians. It’s either you’re far left hating on Trump or far right and saying Trump can do no wrong. Ben Shaprio, a known Trump supporter, did disagree with Trump and Vance’s talk with Zelenskyy. Also, I have thoughts of participating in some activism down the road.
Creative wise, I’m still sticking with Caillou Gets Grounded and I have the intent to continue on. In recent times, my videos aren’t getting the views. Either I’m not so funny anymore with my CGG (Caillou Gets Grounded) videos or people are paying more attention to how awful things are in the world. Or both! I’m not going to go on a tangent on how my viewership is low. Let’s say Trump sends us to Nuclear Doom (let’s hope not), I don’t think I’ll be doing CGG videos. No one is going to give a shit about WIshesNetwork’s CGG videos when the end of the world is just minutes away.
“Oh my God! We are all going to die! Wait a minute, WishesNetwork released a new CGG video, yay! Life’s great! Isn’t it?”
Notably, my recent CGG video got less than 25 views within 24 hours. However, I uploaded it a day after Trump’s speech, and I can understand why people are not going to watch it. It’s the wrong time for me!!
That said, my creative goals are this blog and CGG. I’m also working on another project called HarborTown. I plan to release my upcoming novel this year. But besides the three mentions and the book, I have little interest in participating in a long-term project, such as a novel or a large-scale movie. I don’t have plans for an epic CGG movie. I even thought of a possible project on RPG Maker and making my own RPG game (I did that in 2000), but, that’ll take a while to complete, and I’m seriously leaning towards NO on that one.
Also, if things in the US and the World become more fucked, I might put a pause on my creative life.
I have concerts and events that I’m interested in attending. These concerts won’t be at Ford Field or seriously large scale (as of now). For instance, Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel are touring together and will be at Ford Field. I won’t be going to that. Instead, I’ll be going to see Ben Bohmer at the Royal Oak Music Theater on March 27, and Kraftwerk at the Masonic Theater on March 28. Good pre-birthday concerts for me. Most of the events I’m going to will be at smaller venues and a few festivals. None or little big events at stadiums.
I want to go to at least two Tigers games and also want to see some Single-A Baseball. There are two teams at that level in the state of Michigan. I had intentions to see the Great Lakes Loons, a club two hours north of me. However, the weather wasn’t agreeable while I was leaving Traverse City, and I decided not to take the chance (the game was later postponed). I have plans for a summer vacation, likely to Grand Haven, MI.
In 2021, besides bringing back Super Human Intelligence Towards Exile, I was more interested in going out and about. I didn’t want to spend too much time in the house spitting out a creative project or playing on the Switch more often. I wanted experiences due to being locked up because of the pandemic. And with 2025, that’s where it looks like I’ll be heading. More events, more time outdoors (when it warms up here, it’s Michigan) and more time trying to get a couple of extra friends.
The main reason is that at the end of this year, I might have to make a big switch in my so-called professional life. With my job, I have a lot of vacation time, and I want to use it in case things go south. I might have to start again next year. So, I want to focus more on experiences, much as opposed to spitting out an RPG game, next to see only three people giving a shit about it.
Some of these times outdoors will be me doing bike riding, long walks on trails, and other things I won’t be blogging about. No one is going to give a shit if I rode the Paint Creek Trail in it’s entirety 10 times, or me chowing down on Pizza in Marine City and next reading a book under a Gazebo. I know no one cares about that and I don’t care to blog about it each and every time.
Bye for now…
