For the five or six people (or seven now) who follow this blog, Yes, I’ve seen this band about 500 times. This would’ve been 502 with the two shows they did last month (August 2022), but I couldn’t attend due to being at my Uncle’s Memorial, and the other time, I had to work until 10p, not enough time to get there before the show was over. I’m not going to be writing a 2000-word essay on this show. It’s mainly going to be pictures. I got to hear Ratt’s Round & Round, Motley Crue’s Kickstart My Heart, and one of my personal favorites, Whitesnake’s Still Of The Night.
I ran into a friend I haven’t seen in over 5 years and it was great to see her again. Thought she had permanently moved to a different state, but that wasn’t the case. Since I never told her about my blog, I won’t mention her name or post a pic of us here. Don’t want her calling me and saying, “I’m gonna kick your ass.” Next, with a blog post titled, “I got my ass kicked by a woman.”
One thing I like to add is that a female attendee said she has seen my website. I was going to talk to her more about it at the end of the show, but couldn’t find her. Also, a guy in the band Prowler went up to me and said hello. He said he remembered me from the show. I also had an interesting conversation with a bartender at the Pinball Arcade next to the Diesel. She said she is a grandmother and three of her daughters also work as bartenders in the place. I asked how many daughters she has, she said “too many that she can’t count.”
Another item to mention, I got bumped 2-3 each by two different people. The two culprits were a man with some muscles and a woman with green-dyed hair who looked similar to someone in the past I didn’t get along with. The woman had almost the same face as her but was quite tall, she was about 5’11 or even taller. She bumped into me after the show was over, there was plenty of space for her to go around me, but she just bumped me a little while going to one of her friends. I don’t think the two of them were trying to start something, they’re just selfish, I suppose.
Another interesting talk was with a man wearing a Poison t-shirt. He was talking about how he saw Dokken recently and said “Don Dokken really sucked” but complemented Geroge Lynch (Dokken’s one of two lead guitarists). I have a couple of Dokken albums but I haven’t listened to them for a while. Hear Alone Again on Hair Nation recently, though. And it was one of the guitarist’s birthday on this day, he did a good job covering Van Halen’s Eruption.
Now, I’ll shut the fuck up and post the rest of the pics.
Yes, the picture of me and the rest of the band is the bigger one. It’s my fucking blog. I’m special!
