If you are here, you already know that we sadly lost Ozzy Osbourne on 22 July 2025. I don’t think you need me to say anything else besides that, but I’ll say this: I don’t think we will ever see someone like Ozzy Osbourne ever again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My first exposure to Ozzy was a fearful one when I was 7 years old. Ozzy scared my 7-year-old self with his and Lita Ford’s song “Close My Eyes Forever.” Mainly the music video. At that time, I was living with my Aunt and Uncle, along with a female cousin who would laugh at me when that video would pop up on MTV. Around 1995, Close My Eyes Forever<\/em> made it to Beavis and Butthead’s TV<\/a>, and I felt like a big pansy for being frightened by that video back in those days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I got into Grunge in the summer of 1993, I had seen music videos from Ozzy’s album No More Tears, mainly on Headbangers Ball. I enjoyed those videos, and my 11-year-old self found peace in watching them, especially the haunting ‘No More Tears’ video. In 1995, Ozzy released Ozzmosis, and I took a liking to I Just Want You<\/em> and See You On The Other Side<\/em>. Sometime after that, I found Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid” on cassette at a second-hand shop and took a liking to it as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ozzy also appeared on the Jerky Boys Movie in 1995 as a band manager. His short stint on that movie was the best. I was searching for both scenes where Ozzy was present, but all I could find was the beginning of the show in question. In the Jerky Boys movie, Ozzy plays a band manager and the Jerky Boys tell Ozzy that they are replacing the two previous roadies. Later, the show goes on and due to the Jerky Boys making a mistake, Ozzy gets furious and yells at the Jerky Boys: “You fuckin’ assholes!” I couldn’t find that scene on YouTube, but here’s the beginning:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
