Jason Mewes and Some Dork<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Astronomicon Six was in Livonia, Michigan this time. This is about the third time I’ve been to Livonia. It’s a city west of Detroit and it’s a spot I rarely go to. My time at Astronomicon was not even two hours. I arrived at 10:55 and left out of there before 12:30. I just wanted to get my photo with a few folks and get the hell out. At the beginning, the potential four people I wanted to meet were not at their respective desks. So, I went to the local Tim Hortons to kill a little time (they were slow).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I got back, two of the four potential people were there. So I went to see Jon Lovitz. I had the opportunity to tell him I was a big fan of his character in A League Of Their Own. Mr. Lovitz didn’t seem to be too interested in talking and was kinda rude. That I didn’t like, but I was a bit star-struck to see him. So a nobody like me tolerated a somebody like him. Besides that, I don’t think he wanted to be there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After which, I had to wait about ten minutes to meet Jason Mewes. I’m a fan of his and wanted to meet the legend himself. A guy before me was dressed like The Weeknd, a big fan of Bright Lights. Also in line was a guy who meet Jon Lovitz and was on the phone with his girlfriend. He was telling his girlfriend that Jon Lovitz is one of the rudest celebs he ever meet. I suppose his a veteran of these cons, just like me. Then the man entered and I got my many photos of him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jason Mewes arrived with a mask on, perhaps he was scared of getting Covid. I don’t have an issue with someone wearing a mask these days, thought that was interesting. Brian O’Halloran and Jeff Anderson were also there. But I have meet and got a photo of them back on Astronomicon 3<\/a>. With my man tits sticking out like a sore thumb. Darren McCarty was not there and according to the guy at the desk there, he wasn’t going to be here on this day. Damn. Next was Rikishi, before I arrived, there was a small crowd gathering by him but nobody really got in line for him. I pulled out my wallet and his assissitant appraoched me and said, “You want a photo?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was going to tell Rikishi of my great thoughts about the Attitude Era, but I was told by the assistant that some folks wanted to get their photos or autographs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like I said earlier, I killed some time at the Tim Hortons nearby. The service was crappy despite having quite a few folks working there. On the way there, I slid and feel down. I was okay but my arm didn’t feel good and got some dirt on the jeans, but at no noticeable spot. This Astronomicon could’ve been better but I was satisfied with getting 3 out of 4. I felt fulfilled in some capacity and also sick of visiting comic cons. I go to these comic cons to meet celebs and since I try to be a minimalist, I generally don’t buy photos or autographs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will be the last comic con I go to for some time (going by myself). Probably for at least four years until I go to one of these again. Maybe there might be a comic con near me that might get me interested in going, but really, I don’t want to go to one of these things for a while. I don’t want to travel some place I’m unfamiliar with and wait on celebs. Enough is enough. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Something like last year when I met Howard Jones<\/a> with my VIP ticket, I’d do that again soon. But these comic cons, I ain’t fucking doing these for a loooooong time. I don’t mean to sound like a total cunt when I say this but I suppose I should be very blessed to do this. 60% of us live paycheck-to-paycheck and since I’m not one of those, I can afford this.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
