Roe Vs. Wade II
I was hoping I would be wrong on Roe Vs. Wade, but sadly, I was right. It has been overturned. Been seeing some protests including a fanatical motherfucker attacking a woman in Rhode Island. Also, Jodie Sweeten (Full House, Fuller House) has been attacked by a LAPD officer during a protest occupying freeway. Personally, I’m not big on freeway protests, but I’m Pro-Choice, so I’ll allow that protest some leeway. However, even though I don’t like what the cops did, when you occupy a freeway, the cops may react harshly. Still, that was shitty what that cop did.
Me, I’m not happy they have overturned Roe Vs. Wade, but I was expecting that to happen. Our Country’s Supreme Court leans right with Trump putting three of them in there. I did purchase Kellyanne Conway’s book on audio and she talked about Trump’s intentions on abortion before he became president. According to Conway, Trump wanted to distance himself from Hillary Clinton as much as possible, especially with Abortion. I know Hillary to be pro-choice, but Kellyanne accuses Hillary of agreeing with abortions into the 7-month period. Haven’t checked on it myself, but I doubt that.
It’s my guess that the conservative folks in the Supreme Court wanted to make a statement due to Trump’s loss. But that is just a guess. I did see commentary from AOC, Pelosi and President Biden. I thought Pelosi’s speech was dramatic as it seems to me she was emphasizing the “radical” Supreme Court and used the word extreme a few times. And yapping Trump and Mitch McConnell’s names in anger. However, I’m on the same page with her on the overturn of Roe Vs. Wade, and I don’t like Nancy Pelosi, or AOC. I think AOC is a fanatical nutjob, but I think Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Bobert are more fanatical.
When it comes to my home state, both AG Nessel and Governor Whitmer are pro-choice with the latter suing the Michigan Supreme Court to keep Abortion legal. I discovered this web page on Michigan abortion stats by county and Wayne County (I live North of there, in Macomb) holds the most. I’m guessing Wayne County will keep abortions legal and won’t change the tune, but that’s just a guess.
For me, I suppose I better keep some condoms handy. I have no children that I know of, and I plan on keeping it that way. I have seen bad marriages, bad divorces, and pissy people after that fall (currently listening to Journey’s Frontiers at this moment, can you guess the song?). This year alone has been a pain in the ass financially, I don’t need any god damn child support payments eating away from my paycheck.
