Enuff Z’Nuff came back to the Diesel on Black Friday and it was quite a show. They began the show with a cover of Magical Mystery Tour by the Beatles. One of the things that was quite interesting was the drummer Daniel Hill, he had a smile on his face throughout the show. He’s a happy guy (I hope so). I forgot the lead guitar player’s name at first, I was reminded by a fellow fan, his name is Alex Kane.
Enuff Z’Nuff also did a cover of Jet by Paul McCartney & Wings. This is a song I’m sick of hearing, but I like the band’s cover of that. It’s good to hear a separate version. Jet is a song you hear on those classic rock stations that play the same 100 songs over and over. Heard that song one of many local stations called WCSX. I listen to WCSX bits and pieces these days and I’m hearing Collective Soul and 90’s R.E.M. I’m officially old. They had some sound issues when they did Metalheart, Chip’s mic went dead through some of the 1st verse.
I also ran into these two from Dayton, Ohio. Great to see them again.
The band ended the show with Fly High Michelle, The New Thing (my personal favorite) and a long instrumental break with Chip adding a bass solo.
In the end of it all, I got to meet Chip Z’Nuff. I decided not to be a cheap-ass and bought their Brainwashed Generation album. Chip autographed it too. They have recently made an album called Hardrock Nite which is all Beatles covers. Apologies for my photos looking a little grainy, I was paying more attention to the show. My hyperfocus kicked in.
Also, I’m two days late, but this is the 2nd anniversary of the start of this blog. Made it two years!
