From Nov 29th to Dec 21st of 2024, I have visited the Grosse Pointes twice, Rochester twice, and also the Dodge House at Meadowbrook. I took photos, drank some beers, and sampled some nice meals in the first two mentions. I’m not going to write ten paragraphs about my experiences. Plus, my visits to these places did include friends on one of these trips, and I don’t think they want me to mention their names on this blog. Don’t blame them; hell, I don’t like my damn name in this blog either (but it’s on there). So we’ll start with Grosse Pointe:
I went to Brick Pizzeria on the 29th and talked to a local who happened to be a Social Worker at an elementary school, working primarily with Special Ed kids. I was telling her about me as a Special Ed kid in my days. She told me which school district she works in, but I won’t reveal that here. Don’t wish to screw with this woman’s privacy. On December 13th, sadly, the 24-year anniversary of my Grandfather’s passing, I went to Park Grill. Enjoyed a lovely Fattoush Salad and Chicken Shawarma. Both days, I went to the Whiskey Six, one of my favorite places in the world.
On the 20th, I visited a very busy Paint Creek Tavern and enjoyed Blake’s American Apple, made by a local brewery. And went to Bangkok Cuisine. I’ve been smoking a lot of weed lately and forgot that Rochester had a Thai place for about an hour. My critical thinking skills aren’t up to par (they never were, I was Special Ed). A friend with me wanted to go to Sanders Ice Cream, but they were closing when we arrived. So, we went to Dessert Oasis, which was crowded, but we could find a table.
Although I’m non-religious, I love Christmas lights and decorations. It’s a good thing to look forward to when Michigan gets cold in December!
Peace, Love and Fractions!
